Nashville, Tenn. – Enchntmnt / Warner Records singer-songwriter Blake Whiten returned home to Six Mile, South Carolina on Sunday, July 5 for a hometown celebration that brought hundreds to the small town that raised him.
The 21-year-old singer-songwriter performed his just-released debut album Something To Sayfor his hometown crowd at Durham’s Convenience Mart, treating fans to free gas and food, and capped the night with a bonfire in honor of the album’s release. The event marked a full-circle return for Whiten, who grew up in the 750-person town.
Just two days prior, Whiten celebrated album release day with his national television debut on NBC’s TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle. Live from New York City, Whiten performed his fast-rising single “Bet On That,” bringing the same raw vocal and small-town grit that has fueled his rapid rise to a national stage.

Released last Friday, July 3, Something To Say marks Whiten’s first full-length project. Produced by Austin Shawn and a stacked list of co-writers,the 12-track collection captures his raw vocal, confessional instincts and alt-rock leaning country sound. The result is a debut that introduces Whiten beyond viral discovery, with songs ranging from the bluesy barroom confession of “This Bar Is My Friend” and bottom-shelf heartbreak of “Whiskey Wish” to “Time,” a tender look back at his hometown of Six Mile.
Whiten has also spent the year proving himself onstage, bringing his heavy-hearted songs and signature broken-glass vocal to crowds across the country. After completing Bailey Zimmerman’s Different Night Same Rodeo Tour, Whiten is off to a run of major fairs and festivals this summer before joining Morgan Wallen’s Still The Problem stadium tour later this month. In August, Whiten will launch his newly expanded 20-stop headlining Something To Say Tour, now kicking off Aug. 20 in Austin, with additional new stops in Dallas and Los Angeles.
